My name is Shwan Dizai. I attended University of Windsor, studying a 4-year Honours Bio-Chemistry Program. I enjoy sports and have played organized and recreational basketball since my youth.
I have been in and around Toronto my whole life, experiencing Lion King at the Prince of Wales Theatre, to dancing alongside the Caribana Festival, to supporting Pride Parade. I am hoping to bring some of my passions for the Toronto lifestyle into the community of CityPlace.
I truly enjoy the CityPlace neighborhood – it’s one of the best places I have lived in. I am happy to call it home. This is a long-term place for me, I have long term goals and desires for the area in terms of city planning, community events, parks, etc. I also want to deal with the issues that everyone seems to have passionate concerns about such as the usage of the park by dogs, children and adults in the area, homelessness, safety of residents in the area and traffic issues especially with the new school coming.
I am planning on volunteering with youth development programs when the Canoe Landing Community and Recreation Centre opens up and I would love the opportunity to be on the Board of Directors for the CPRA so I can help to shape the community we are in by listening to all the voices and coming up with solutions that can suit all.
