Dear Residents,

As you may know, as of yesterday the Toronto Public Health (TPH) is continuing to monitor the eight positive cases of the novel coronavirus: COVID-19 recently reported in our City. To date, there have been two other confirmed cases reported, and both of these people have since recovered from their illness. The Province now has 15 confirmed cases.

Given the Board’s and Property Management’s concern for our residents’ safety, we are advising everyone to take necessary steps to maintain a clean and sanitized environment. Please be advised that several of our Management team members had to contact their doctors or go to the hospital upon noticing some of the symptoms. They were exposed to people that had disclosed having been quarantined in other countries, or elsewhere in Canada, and have travelled from outbreak countries. After testing, they were all cleared for COVID-19.

If you have been travelling—or are experiencing flu-like symptoms and/or fever, or have a cough and difficulty breathing—please contact your family doctor immediately. As mentioned by the TPH, “to further protect yourself and those around you, wash your hands often and cover your mouth and nose with your arm when coughing or sneezing”.

Sincerely,
Peter Chiarmonte
President
