Schedule Update: School term commenced January 6 , 2020. The school gym, located in the north building will be available for occupancy late February 2020. The Canoe Landing community recreation centre is expected to be complete by late spring 2020.
South Building: –Final deficiency work is underway. Exterior metal cladding work is complete. Photovoltaic panel installation is approaching completion. Preparation for the green roof installation is complete, with completion scheduled for Spring 2020. The underground parking garage is available for staff use. Pay and Display meters are planned to be installed by the end of March 2020.
North Building: – Fire protection, mechanical and electrical work continues to advance. Curtainwall and glazing installation is complete. Wood, drywall and acoustic ceiling installation is underway. Stair and elevator installation is approaching completion. The Ontario Science Centre fit- out work in the Indoor Playspace is scheduled to commence at the beginning of February 2020. Mechanical and electrical work in the Community Space has commenced. Green roof installation is well underway, with completion scheduled for Spring 2020. The underground parking garage is partially available for staff use. Some areas continue to be utilized for construction staging.
Exterior Work – Streetscaping along Brunel Court and Fort York Blvd. is approaching completion. The north building has been hoarded off to allow ongoing construction to be separated from the occupied school space.
Vehicular access, allowing site access off Fort York Blvd is expected to remain in place for the time being.
